Facebook Removing Likes & Streamlining from Business Pages | Social Media Marketing Update

This month Facebook announced that it was streamlining Pages for better user experience and engagement. The major changes include getting rid of Likes and focusing more on Followers.

It turns out the Follows Functionality offers a better signal for the algorithm; it demonstrates that a person actually wants to see your page and follow your content. Also, gives you a better idea of your fan base.

Something to keep in mind is that, anyone who has previously Liked (not Followed) your page may disappear from your page.
