DAY 9-10: Mindset Challenge : When, How & What | Goal Getters

If its not written down and measured it does not exist. If you do not take action and only dream about goals, it is mostly unlikely that you will actualize your truest potential.

When it comes to achieving goals one of the things to keep in mind is self-compassion and empathy for yourself in terms of outlining realistic and achievable goals.

It can be overwhelming to set goals especially if you are coming from a place of urgency and lack of mindset; where you have an urgent need to achieve your goals now rather than taking a measured, balanced and planned approached to actualizing your goals.

As a result of the overwhelming feelings, you will find that other self-limiting beliefs will start to creep in including self-sabotage tendencies such as;
  • Fear and overwhelm over what its takes to actualize your goals.
  • Fear of failure and self-doubt including what other people will think about you.

TASKS & TOOLS:
  • If your goals are not written down and measured, it makes it much harder to achieve your goals going forward. Use journals, daily planners, diaries, spreadsheets, visual wall and digital planners to help you see through your goals to completion.

  • Use Daily Affirmations to enable you to re-shape your thinking into more of an optimistic outlook and can do attitude. Fight for you and do whatever it takes everyday to challenge your self-limiting beliefs (including self-doubt). Recognize that each feeling that comes is a passing moment. Normalize and accept that it is all part of the process. The more you start to challenge your thoughts and feelings the more you are likely to start feeling confident and empowered within.

  • Come from a place of abundance and not lack of. Appreciate what you already have and anything else on top that you are working for is going to be an added bonus.
  • Set Challenging and Realistic goals which will ignite something within you. Including goals which you fear most. Make yourself accountable by tying yourself into challenges with like minds.  Be specific about your timeframes.
